Banana Chocolate Pancakes

Giuliana had her first day of Kindergarten this week! The first full day I made these for her and she loved them!!

Nutritional Information (calculated on myfitnesspal.com): 4 servings, 252 calories, 35g carbs, 11g fat, 4g protein

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Banana, Mashed
  • 3/4 c Water
  • 1 T Maple Syrup
  • 2 T Canola Oil
  • 2 t Baking Powder
  • 1 c All-Purpose Flour
  • Dash of Salt
  • 4 Hershey's Milk Chocolate Nuggets, chopped
  • Butter or oil for cooking (not factored into the nutritional information)

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the first 4 ingredients together in a large bowl
  2. Whisk Baking Powder, Flour, and Salt together
  3. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. (Be careful not to mix too much, there will be lumps.)
  4. Add Chocolate to the Batter and mix gently.
  5. On a preheated griddle or pan add Oil or Butter to the pan.
  6. Once the Oil is heated or Butter is melted add scoops of the Batter.
  7. When the bubbles on the top of the pancake start popping, flip the pancakes.
  8. Once the underside is golden brown remove and serve.
My kids did not even need syrup or butter for these!
